TYC reported that the Argentine national team is likely to play an Arab team in a friendly during the next international break in November 2025.
The Argentine national team was scheduled to play Angola and India, but Lionel Scaloni requested that both matches be held in the same venue, rather than traveling between Africa and Asia on a journey that would be exhausting for the players.
The Argentine Football Association is currently leaning toward canceling the India friendly and holding the two November friendlies in Africa. It is also considering having Lionel Messi’s teammates meet the Moroccan national team in Casablanca.
The Moroccan national team welcomes this friendly, especially since Walid Regragui believes it will be an ideal final preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in Morocco next December.
The coming days are expected to witness a final agreement between the two countries regarding the friendly.
Morocco’s agreement to play this match is undoubtedly a bold decision, as Egypt, for example, refused to face Brazil in November, fearing it would affect preparations for the AFCON.
