Real Madrid will be without their star player Rodrygo Goes for 10 days due to a new injury.
The Brazilian star played in Real Madrid’s last match against Rayo Vallecano last week, but has recently been experiencing some pain and has undergone medical tests to determine the extent of his injury and the treatment plan.
In an official statement, Real Madrid revealed the nature of Rodrygo’s injury as tendinitis in the hamstring of his right leg, without specifying the expected duration of his absence.
According to Spanish media reports, Rodrygo needs at least 10 days to recover and return to action for Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad.
Thus, Rodrygo will miss the match against Valencia on Sunday, as well as the match against Real Sociedad the following Saturday. He will also miss the Champions League match against Benfica due to suspension, before returning on February 21st against Osasuna in La Liga.
It is worth noting that the 24-year-old has played 26 matches for Real Madrid in all competitions this season, during which he scored 3 goals and made 6 assists.
