The English Premier League announced two lists of candidates for the Best Player and Best Coach awards in the competition for the 2023-2024 season.
The top spot in the Premier League is still in the hands of Arsenal with two rounds to go, with Manchester City potentially reaching the top if it wins its postponed match against Tottenham.
Despite Mohamed Salah’s digitally distinguished season, he was dropped from the list, and instead Virgil van Dijk was the representative of Liverpool, which occupies third place in the Premier League.
It was logical for Cole Palmer to be there after his excellent performance with Chelsea, while current Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland also came at the top of the list.
As for coaches, the competition is limited to Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp, alongside the Aston Villa miracle worker Unai Emery, and the brilliant Andoni Airola with Bournemouth.
