Ange Postecoglou’s disastrous record continues… Another defeat for Nottingham

Nottingham Forest suffered another defeat, this time at the hands of Newcastle United, 2-0, in the seventh round of the English Premier League.

The Magpies’ double came courtesy of a penalty from German midfielder Nick Voltmad and a goal from Bruno Guimaraes, continuing Ange Postecoglou’s disastrous record with the City Ground team.

The Australian took over at Nottingham last month, succeeding Nuno Espirito Santo, who was sacked not because of poor results but because of disagreements with the club’s owner.

Over the course of this month, Postecoglou has played seven matches without a win!

Nottingham lost to Arsenal, Sunderland, and Newcastle in the Premier League, to Swansea in the Carabao Cup, and to Midtjylland in the Europa League, while their best performance was a draw against Burnley and Real Betis.

Since Postecoglou’s appointment, Nottingham has conceded the most goals in the Premier League, with 14.

It has become increasingly likely that the Europa League champions will be sacked, especially since Nottingham’s owner is not a patient leader, even though he publicly supported Postecoglou a few days ago.

Nottingham is currently 17th in the Premier League with only 5 points.
