Ancelotti announces Real Madrid’s goalkeeper in the Champions League final

Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, announced who will guard Real Madrid’s goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final.

Thibaut Courtois returned to the field at the end of last April after being absent throughout the season, while Andrey Lunin presented an exceptional season and was one of the reasons for the Royal Club’s success in reaching the “With the Ears” final.

A great controversy has arisen in recent days about the identity of who will protect the Royal Club’s den, until Ancelotti appears at the final press conference and resolves the matter.

According to the Italian coach, Thibaut Courtois will be Real Madrid’s goalkeeper against Dortmund, while Lunin will be on the bench.

Ancelotti did not provide an accurate explanation for this decision, but it seems logical after the Ukrainian goalkeeper’s absence from training throughout the past week due to his fever.

Since his return from injury, Courtois has participated in only 4 matches, all of which were in La Liga, and what is interesting is that he succeeded in keeping a clean sheet in all of them.

It is noteworthy that Courtois, 31 years old, was a major reason for Real Madrid’s victory in the 2022 Champions League after he made the largest number of saves in the history of the final matches of the competition against Liverpool.
