Spanish media reports indicate that Brahim Diaz has received a substantial offer in recent hours from one of the biggest clubs in the English Premier League, with the aim of signing him this winter.
Diaz has been delivering excellent performances for the Moroccan national team at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring four goals and leading the Atlas Lions to the quarter-finals, where they will face Cameroon.
According to the report, Arsenal has emerged as one of the clubs most interested in signing the Real Madrid star. The Gunners’ management is reportedly trying to capitalize on the fact that Diaz has not been getting much playing time at Real Madrid since the arrival of Xabi Alonso, hoping to persuade him to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal is reportedly prepared to pay Real Madrid €50 million to acquire Diaz immediately. While this is a significant sum, it is not expected to be enough to convince Florentino Perez to agree to sell the Moroccan star right away and free up the squad’s primary attacking option.
This news comes just days after reports that Diaz has had an agreement with Real Madrid to renew his contract since last summer, but the new contract has yet to be activated at the club’s request.
In any case, it seems unlikely that Diaz will be allowed to leave this winter, especially given Kylian Mbappe’s injury and Real Madrid’s precarious situation. However, next summer could bring a change, and the 25-year-old could potentially return to the Premier League after his previous stint there with Manchester City.
