The Madrid derby witnessed a special performance from Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez, who scored a world-class goal against Real Madrid.
The first half ended in a 2-2 draw, and in the second half, Alvarez scored the third goal for Rojiblancos from a penalty kick.
In the 63rd minute, Alvarez took a free kick from the edge of the penalty area and slotted it home in a spectacular performance.

Despite Thibaut Courtois’ attempts to catch the ball, he failed, and the ball ended up in his own net. Alvarez scored his second goal in the derby and the fourth for Diego Simeone’s side.
Alvarez’s brace brought his tally this season to six goals and one assist in seven La Liga matches.
The City striker scored a hat-trick against Rayo Vallecano last round, saving Atletico from defeat and securing three valuable points for his team in a 3-2 victory.
This isn’t the first free kick Alvarez has scored in this format this season, as he scored an exact replica of it against Espanyol in the first round.
