Massimiliano Allegri is open to coaching Real Madrid next season, but he has set two key conditions for accepting the Spanish club’s offer.
Italian media outlets have reported that Real Madrid are interested in appointing the current AC Milan coach as a replacement for Álvaro Arbeloa starting next season.
According to Tuttosport, Allegri stipulates that Luka Modric must accompany him to Real Madrid, but as a member of his coaching staff, not as a player.
Allegri wants Modric to act as a link between him and the players, as well as between Real Madrid’s older generation and the younger players, considering his leadership role crucial for the club’s return to form.
The second condition is that Real Madrid sign Adrien Rabiot to lead the midfield and fill the void left by Toni Kroos and Modric.
Real Madrid has yet to decide on Arbeloa’s successor, and there is a chance the Spanish coach will remain if he wins the Champions League or La Liga title this season.
