Al-Nassr’s transfer ban imposed due to Manchester City dispute!

FIFA has imposed a transfer ban on Al-Nassr for one transfer window, a decision that has raised many questions, given that the Saudi club is one of the richest in the world and usually pays its players on time.

According to the newspaper Al-Riyadh, the reason for the ban is Al-Nassr’s failure to pay one of the installments due to Manchester City for the transfer of center-back Aymeric Laporte.

Al-Nassr was supposed to pay €9 million to the English club by August 31st, but this did not happen. City then filed a complaint with FIFA to protect its rights, and obtained a swift ruling imposing the transfer ban on Al-Nassr.

Al-Nassr needs to pay this amount, after which the transfer ban will be lifted, and the club will be able to make new signings in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Laporte had joined Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023 from City for 27 million euros, before leaving the sidelines of First Park in the final hours of last summer’s transfer window, returning to Athletic Bilbao for 10 million euros.
