Al-Nassr: Benzema is just a shadow of Ronaldo, he can’t outshine him!

The official Al-Nassr account on the X platform didn’t miss the opportunity to mock Karim Benzema by using Cristiano Ronaldo after the match between Faris Najd and Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final.

Al-Nassr achieved a valuable victory with ten players against Al-Ittihad, 2-1, and Cristiano Ronaldo succeeded in leaving his mark after setting up the second goal for Joao Felix.

After the match, the official Al-Nassr account published a tweet belittling Benzema, who left little impact during the 90 minutes.

The account captioned a photo of Ronaldo and Benzema from the match, “He knew stardom (Benzema) was in his shadow, so he thought today he would be the best?”

The Al-Nassr account intended to discuss Benzema and Ronaldo’s combined career at Real Madrid, especially since the Don, as usual, stole the spotlight at the Santiago Bernabéu, and the Frenchman’s stardom only came to the fore after the Portuguese left the club.

Benzema previously confirmed his understanding that his role during Ronaldo’s era at Real Madrid was different from that of a natural striker, who was required to score a lot of goals, and he never expressed any irritation about this.

Benzema won the Ballon d’Or in 2022 after a phenomenal performance that led Real Madrid to a La Liga and Champions League double, four years after Ronaldo left Los Blancos for Juventus.

Despite the mockery of Al-Nassr, the relationship between Benzema and Ronaldo remains strong to this day, and the two praise each other on every occasion.
