Al-Ittihad Makes a Sensational Offer to Sign Al-Hilal Star

The newspaper Al-Riyadh reported that Al-Ittihad has sent an offer to Al-Hilal to sign one of the Blue Wave’s most prominent stars during the remaining days of the current winter transfer window.

Al-Hilal attempted to sign Al-Ittihad star Abdulrahman Al-Aboud this winter and sent an offer to the Jeddah Tigers in this regard, but no agreement has been reached on the deal so far.

In the past few hours, Al-Ittihad officials contacted Al-Hilal to explore the possibility of signing Mohamed Kanno on loan until the end of the current season.

Discussions are ongoing between the two clubs regarding both deals, but they have only been verbal and have not yet progressed to written offers, reflecting the difficulty and complexity of completing what could be considered a swap deal.

While Abdulrahman Al-Aboud is likely to leave Al-Ittihad as he is not getting many playing opportunities under coach Sergio Conceição, Kanno is considered one of Al-Hilal’s most prominent players this season and a key pillar for coach Simone Inzaghi, making his departure this winter unlikely.

The 31-year-old Kanno has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Al-Hilal this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Al-Hilal currently leads the Saudi Pro League with 38 points, 11 points ahead of Al-Ittihad, before their highly anticipated match against Neom on Sunday evening in the 16th round.
