Al-Hilal is not interested in signing Salah!

Saudi newspapers reported on Tuesday that rumors circulating about Al-Hilal’s interest in signing Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool winger, during the upcoming winter transfer window have been debunked.

Salah is currently experiencing a difficult period at Liverpool after his relationship with manager Arne Slott deteriorated, and it is rumored that the player may leave Anfield in January if the Dutchman remains in his position.

Salah has been linked with several Saudi and American clubs, including Al-Hilal, especially since the Blue Wave has reportedly been interested in the 33-year-old for almost two years.

According to the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Al-Hilal’s management has not shown any concrete interest in signing the Egyptian King at this time.

The report indicated that talk of completing Salah’s transfer to Al-Hilal at this time is merely a waste of time and mere rumors far removed from any real negotiations.

Al-Hilal officials do not believe there is any chance of signing Salah this winter. Even if Liverpool were to open the door to a sale, the cost of the deal would be prohibitively high, unlike if the Saudi club were to pursue him next summer.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian player’s contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2027. Given his declining form this season, it has been suggested that the English club’s management would be willing to sell him next summer to recoup some of their investment rather than lose him for free the following year.
