Al Ahly secured the 2025 Egyptian Super Cup title after a 2-0 victory over Zamalek in the final match held at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Achraf Bencharki opened the scoring for Al Ahly in the 44th minute. As Zamalek intensified their efforts to equalize, Marwan Attia doubled the lead in the 77th minute.
Seifeddine Jaziri pulled one back for Zamalek in the 81st minute, but the goal was disallowed by VAR after it was determined that the Tunisian had handled the ball on its way into the net.
This victory marks Al Ahly’s fifth consecutive Super Cup title and their 16th overall.
It also represents the eighth time Al Ahly has won the Super Cup directly against their arch-rivals, Zamalek.
