Ahead of the Super Cup… Nasser Maher Outshines Himself with Two Goals Against Tala’ea El-Gaish

Nasser Maher continued his impressive form with Zamalek, scoring two goals in Zamalek’s victory over Tala’ea El-Gaish in the 2025-26 Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.

This was the first match for interim coach Ahmed Abdel Raouf, who is taking over until Zamalek appoints a new coach after the Egyptian Super Cup.

In the fourth minute, Nasser Maher scored Zamalek’s first goal with great skill, after an excellent run behind the Tala’ea El-Gaish defenders. A brilliant pass from Nabil Emad Donga put him through on goal, and he fired the ball powerfully past goalkeeper Mohamed Shaaban.

At the start of the second half, specifically in the 48th minute, Nasser Maher scored his second goal and Zamalek’s second. His initial shot was saved by the goalkeeper, but the rebound fell to the White Knights’ star, who easily slotted it into the net.

Over the past two seasons, Nasser Maher scored only three goals. This season, after his brace, his total now stands at four goals, surpassing his combined tally from the previous two seasons.

In total, the Egyptian international has reached nine goals in all competitions for Zamalek and provided three assists in 56 appearances.

This is the first time Nasser Maher has scored two goals in a single match for Zamalek, and only the second time overall in his career, just days before the Egyptian Super Cup against Pyramids FC next Thursday in Abu Dhabi.
