Zamalek secured their place in the round of 16 of the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Somalia’s Dekedaha 7-0 on aggregate in the round of 32.
The White Knights are hoping to achieve their third Confederation Cup title, having won the title in 2019 and 2024 against Morocco’s Renaissance Berkane.
The round of 32 has not yet officially concluded, and its matches will be held over the next three days. The identities of the 16 teams that have qualified for the group stage will then be determined, marking the true beginning of the competition.
Zamalek will, in any case, be seeded first in the draw, heading a group awaiting the draw to determine the remaining teams.

CAF announced in an official statement that the draw for the group stage of the 2025-26 Confederation Cup will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The draw for the Confederation Cup group stage will begin at 1:00 PM Cairo time (2:00 PM Mecca time), determining the four groups that will form the Round of 16 of Africa’s second-most important club competition.
