After Yamal and Olmo, Barcelona warns Spain of Pedri’s injury!

There is concern within Barcelona about the possibility of Pedri sustaining an injury while on the Spain national team’s training camp, just as happened to Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo in the last two training camps.

Yamal complained of pain in his groin area during Spain’s September training camp and was given painkillers to complete the match against Turkey. His condition subsequently worsened, leading to his absence from Barcelona for up to a month.

In the current October training camp, Olmo complained of physical stress, yet Luis de la Fuente included him in training. However, the Barça star was unable to complete the training. He subsequently underwent tests that confirmed a calf injury, requiring him to rest for at least a month.

According to AS, Pedri has a similar complaint to Olmo, suffering from muscle fatigue. This has prompted Barcelona officials to contact the Spanish Football Federation and request extreme caution with the 22-year-old to prevent this overwork from turning into a muscle injury.

Barcelona hopes that De la Fuente will not put Pedri under pressure in training, or play him full-time in the two matches against Georgia, to prevent an injury that would be disastrous for Hansi Flick, who is currently missing up to five first-team players due to various injuries.

Pedri has been one of the most capped players in Europe this season, starting every one of Barcelona’s matches in all competitions and playing at least 75 minutes in each match. He also participated with the Spanish national team against Bulgaria and Turkey during the last break.

Barcelona will be without Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, Juan Garcia, and Gavi for the upcoming match against Girona due to injuries, and there are doubts that any of these players will be able to return to play against Olympiacos or later in the Clasico against Real Madrid.
