After resigning from Ferreira’s staff, Hazem Emam takes on a new position at Zamalek

Hazem Emam will not leave Zamalek after resigning from his position as assistant coach to Yannick Ferreira on the first-team technical staff, according to Egyptian media reports.

Hazem Emam had previously announced that he would not work again with Ferreira, citing the Belgian coach’s marginalization of him, and thus no longer feeling he had anything to contribute to the first team in the coming period.

According to the latest report, the Zamalek management has decided that Hazem Emam will return to his position as vice president of the youth sector, a position he held before being promoted to assistant coach of the first team.

Zamalek appreciates Hazem Emam’s achievements in the recent period and considers him a capable cadre capable of making a difference in the future. Therefore, the club does not want to dispense with his services completely, especially since his work in the youth sector has been exceptionally good.

Hazem Emam will be the second vice president of the sector, Badr Hamed, after Zamalek legend Tamer Abdel Hamid.

Zamalek’s management has yet to make a final decision on who will replace Hazem Emam as Ferreira’s assistant on the first team. John Edward and Hussein Labib are expected to make the decision after the Dekedaha match, but Ahmed Abdel Raouf is said to be the most likely candidate currently.
