Relevo reported that Saudi clubs are continuing their pursuit of Barcelona stars. Following Al Hilal’s strong interest in signing Raphinha, another star from the Catalan club received a tempting offer from a Roshen League team.
The report concerns midfielder Fermin López, who, despite being only 21 years old, may be interested in a Saudi experience given the huge salary offered to him.
According to the report, López has a Saudi offer that would guarantee him an annual salary of €8 million, double his current salary at Barcelona. This has led the player to initially welcome the idea.
López believes it is a good opportunity to secure his future, playing in Saudi Arabia for a maximum of three years, then returning to Europe while he is still in his prime and completing his career to the fullest.
As for Barcelona, there is no objection to López’s departure, but only if it requires a substantial sum of money. Joan Laporta’s administration has set a minimum of €60 million to allow the player to move to Saudi Arabia or any European club.
Laporta’s administration believes that selling López for this amount will facilitate its summer signings. Furthermore, his departure will not be significantly significant given the availability of several other options in midfield, making the deal a win-win for all parties.
It should be noted that López will not be the only player to leave Barça. Other players whose futures are at stake include Ronald Araujo, Ansu Fati, and Héctor Fort, as well as Raphinha himself.
