After Kolo Muani’s failure, Juventus makes a major attacking signing

Juventus has secured a replacement for Kolo Muani, signing Leipzig star Lois Openda.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Juventus attempted to sign Kolo Muani permanently after he spent last season on loan at the Allianz Stadium.

Due to Paris Saint-Germain’s high financial demands, Juventus decided one day before the transfer window closed to withdraw from the deal and look for a replacement.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Juventus has reached an agreement with Leipzig to sign Openda on loan with an obligation to buy next summer.

In total, the deal, whether loan or sale, will cost Juventus only €40 million, while PSG was seeking more than €60 million for Kolo Muani.

The 25-year-old Openda is one of the most prominent strikers in the German league in recent years, and in 93 matches with Leipzig in all competitions, he scored 41 goals and provided 18 assists.
