Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior made amends for his missed penalty against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 by scoring one in the return leg.
With Real Madrid leading 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu, the club was awarded a penalty, which Vinicius took, but his shot was saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
In the second leg at the Etihad Stadium, Real Madrid were awarded a penalty after just 22 minutes, which also resulted in Bernardo Silva receiving a red card.
This time, Vinicius didn’t disappoint, sending the ball to Donnarumma’s left, who dived to his right, giving Real Madrid the lead and putting Álvaro Arbeloa’s team closer to the quarterfinals.
This was the Brazilian international’s fourth Champions League goal and his fourteenth in all competitions this season for Real Madrid.
