A surprising response from Enrique to the possibility of taking over as Barcelona coach

The newspaper “Sport” reported that the current coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique, refused to take over as coach of Barcelona next season.

The Spanish coach entered the Blaugrana’s circle of interests recently after newspapers revealed that sporting director Deco dreams of returning him to Camp Nou.

But according to the Catalan newspaper, Enrique will fulfill his full contract with PSG and will not leave before the summer of 2025.

The newspaper pointed out the fact that Barcelona is not the only club interested in Enrique. Rather, the former Spain coach has many other offers from England and Italy.

However, neither Enrique nor the Paris Saint-Germain management have any intention of ending the contractual relationship, and both parties are convinced that the coach is the best one to lead the team in the coming period.

Thus, Barcelona’s coaching options are reduced to Hansi Flick and Roberto De Zerbe, as well as Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel.
