The 2025 Egyptian League witnessed one of the strangest moments in football history, as Al Ahly and Pyramids celebrated winning the title!
Al Ahly won 6-0 against Pharco, while Pyramids defeated Ceramica Cleopatra 5-1 in the final round of the Egyptian League.
The identity of the Egyptian League champion remains unknown and practically in limbo, but Al Ahly and Pyramids both celebrated winning the title!
From a current numerical perspective, Al Ahly is the Egyptian League champion by two points over Pyramids.
However, from a legal perspective, the matter is being considered by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), in light of Pyramids’ request to deduct an additional three points from Al Ahly for withdrawing from the match against Zamalek.
The CAS rejected Pyramids’ request to suspend the league champion, and the official ruling so far is that Al Ahly is the league champion.
The CAS will make its final decision on the incident before the end of June. If the three points are deducted, Pyramids will be the league champion.
Pyramids’ celebration of winning the league was strange, but it’s a new addition to the wonders of the Egyptian league: two champion teams at the same time!
