A new crisis… Ter Stegen is determined to receive his full salary from Barcelona!

Ter Stegen has no intention of giving up a single euro to Barcelona and wants to fulfill his contract with the Catalan club, which runs until the summer of 2028.

The German goalkeeper has recovered from his injury and was included in Barça’s squad for the first time this season in the match against Osasuna, where the Catalans secured an important victory thanks to two goals from Rafinha.

It is expected that Ter Stegen will leave on loan in January to any club that guarantees him regular playing time, in order to achieve his goal of being Germany’s goalkeeper at the 2026 World Cup.

According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo,” Ter Stegen has decided to fight to play for Barcelona again and refuse to sit on the bench.

However, the 33-year-old is not ruling out a move, provided all the terms of his contract, which runs until 2028, are guaranteed.

This means there are two possible scenarios: either Ter Stegen leaves on loan at his current salary (meaning Barcelona would cover a significant portion of his wages during the loan period) and returns next summer, or Barcelona pays him the full amount owed under his contract, approximately €10 million.

Ter Stegen has no intention of waiving any money owed to Barcelona; this is a firm decision. He believes he has already helped the club when it needed him most, whether by renewing his contract or deferring part of his salary to facilitate the registration of his teammates.

It’s worth noting that Hansi Flick has repeatedly confirmed that Juan García will remain Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper this season. The focus now is on who will be the second-choice goalkeeper for the Copa del Rey match against Guadalajara. If the German coach opts for Szczęsny, it will send a clear message to Ter Stegen that he should leave immediately.
