A major blow for Real Madrid: Their star player is confirmed to miss El Clásico!

Dani Carvajal has compounded Real Madrid’s woes after the derby defeat, confirming his long-term absence due to injury.

Carvajal left the Atlético Madrid match with what appeared to be a serious injury. He underwent medical tests on Sunday morning, which revealed the nature and duration of the injury.

According to Real Madrid’s official statement, Carvajal has a hamstring injury in his right foot, without specifying how long he is expected to be out.

As newspaper indicated that the 33-year-old will need at least a month to recover and return to action.

This means that the Real Madrid captain will miss El Clásico against Barcelona on October 26, further complicating Xabi Alonso’s woes in light of the injury to substitute full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Carvajal will initially miss matches against Villarreal, Getafe, and Barcelona in La Liga, and Juventus and Kairat in the Champions League. He will return in early November when Real Madrid host Valencia in La Liga.

In this case, Alonso will be forced to rely on Raúl Asensio at right-back, or the more likely option is to return Fede Valverde to the right flank, despite the significant loss in midfield.
