The German newspaper “Bild” claims that the closest destination for Florian Wirtz when he leaves Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 will be Real Madrid.
Wirtz, who is classified as the most important German talent currently on the scene, had announced that he would continue with Bayer Leverkusen next season, while opening the door to leaving starting in 2025.
Bayern Munich announced earlier, through its honorary president, Uli Hoeness, its willingness to spend 100 million euros to sign Wirtz, but the player’s desire seems relatively different.
According to Bild, Real Madrid is also interested in signing Wirtz, and is classifying him as an alternative to Toni Kroos, who is expected to leave at best in the summer of next year.
The 21-year-old is similar to Kroos in terms of passing ability, but is very different as an attacking player rather than primarily a central midfielder.
But Real Madrid’s current project involves bringing together the best players in the world in one team, and there is an intention by Florentino Pérez’s management to include Wirtz to complete the legendary Royal squad next year.
Real Madrid is close to including Mbappe next summer, while keeping Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, and including Wirtz will be a historic deal by all standards for a team that will have the best players of the current generation.
