Cristiano Ronaldo will make his return to Al-Nassr’s matches, as coach Jorge Jesus has decided to include him in the starting lineup for Saturday’s match against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Professional League.
The Portuguese star missed Al-Nassr’s last three matches, during which the Knights of Najd secured a 1-0 victory over Al-Riyadh and a 2-0 win against Al-Ittihad in the league, as well as a 1-0 away win against Arkadag in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League.
Ronaldo’s disagreements with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) reached a peak in recent weeks, with the 41-year-old even threatening to leave. However, according to the newspaper “Al-Youm,” the crisis has now been definitively resolved.
Ronaldo informed his coach, Jesus, that he is now ready to play. The Portuguese coach has been closely monitoring his physical condition in training over the past few days and has concluded that Ronaldo is indeed ready to return.
Unless Ronaldo suffers an injury or any unforeseen circumstances arise, he will start against Al-Fateh on Saturday at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo is Al-Nassr’s top scorer this season in all competitions, and he is also the third top scorer in the Saudi League with 17 goals, two goals behind the current top scorer of the competition, Ivan Toni, the Al-Ahli striker.
