“A damned goal”.. Bellingham is threatened with a long suspension

Jude Bellingham faces a real threat of a long ban from participating in Spanish League matches after the events of the recent Real Madrid and Valencia match.

The English international received a red card due to his violent objection to referee Gil Manzano’s decision to end the match while the ball was on its way to Valencia’s goal, with the third goal of the Merengue.

Manzano included in the match report that Bellingham verbally abused him and yelled at him, “It’s a fucking goal,” more than once.

According to the rules of the Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation, Bellingham’s punishment for what he did will be a suspension for a minimum of two matches.

Depending on what the committee sees, the penalty may be doubled to a three-match suspension, or a one-month suspension, as happened with some players in previous similar incidents.

The Real Madrid administration plans to appeal the red card that Bellingham received in general, and will focus its efforts on proving that the referee incorrectly understood what the English player said.

The Royal Club’s movements will not stop there, but will go to demanding that Manzano himself be suspended for his disastrous decision.
