A comeback and an own goal lead Barcelona to a thrilling victory over Levante

Barcelona secured their second La Liga victory of the season, defeating Levante 3-2 at the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium.

The Catalan club’s performance against Levante was a “comeback,” after trailing 2-0 at halftime.

Ivan Romero gave Levante the lead in the 15th minute, and José Luis scored the second goal from a controversial penalty in the final minute of the first half.

However, the start of the second half was extremely exciting, as Pedri reduced the deficit with a stunning strike, before Ferran Torres equalized minutes later.

Barcelona pushed hard for the winner, finally getting their wish in the final minute when Lamine Yamal’s cross was misdirected by Levante defender Unai Elsabal, who headed it into his own net, giving the Blaugrana three valuable points.

Pedri won the Man of the Match award after the match, following his impressive performance and stunning goal.

Barcelona’s tally now stands at 6 points, temporarily maintaining their lead at the top of La Liga. Meanwhile, newly promoted Levante remains pointless after the first two rounds.
