Real Madrid received good news in the past few hours, following medical confirmation that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s participation in El Clásico against Barcelona is highly likely if the player continues his current recovery from his recent injury.
It was announced that the England international would be out for two months with Real Madrid after suffering a muscle injury in the Champions League match against Marseille, and his scheduled return date was November 23.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Arnold’s recovery has been much faster than expected, and that there has been significant progress in recent days that puts the player’s return to action much closer than previously scheduled.
In principle, provided there are no setbacks, Arnold could return to Real Madrid’s matches after the current international break, specifically in the Champions League match against Juventus on October 22.
Thus, Arnold could be available for the match against Barcelona, scheduled for October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu, and resolve the apparent crisis at right-back due to Dani Carvajal’s injury, which is expected to keep him out of El Clásico.
It’s worth noting that since joining Real Madrid, Arnold has played in 10 matches, totaling just 546 minutes, during which he has not scored a goal and provided only two assists, both of which were in the 2025 Club World Cup.
