Paris Saint-Germain have officially announced the contract extension of manager Luis Enrique through the summer of 2030, a decisive move cementing the hierarchy’s commitment to the most successful era in the club’s history.
Timed ahead of their Ligue 1 fixture against Monaco, the announcement grants the Spanish tactician three additional years, setting him up for a seven-season tenure should he complete the full term.
The renewal spree also extended to key squad members: Fabián Ruiz signed through 2028, while João Neves, Lucas Beraldo, Senny Mayulu, and Willian Pacho extended their commitments until 2031, joining Vitinha whose existing contract already runs to 2029.
Club President Nasser Al-Khelaifi highlighted that these players represent both the present and future of Paris Saint-Germain, underlining the club’s dedication to long-term planning and establishing a collective history for fans to take pride in.
Since taking charge in July 2023 following stints with Roma, Celta Vigo, Barcelona, and the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique transformed PSG from a collection of star names into a dynamic, team-oriented unit built on youth.
Under his guidance, PSG captured their maiden UEFA Champions League crown in 2025 with a 5–0 victory over Inter Milan, before retaining the trophy in 2026 by defeating Arsenal on penalties, alongside continuous domestic dominance.
Over his first three seasons, Luis Enrique oversaw 171 matches, recording 116 victories, 31 draws, and 24 defeats—a win rate approaching 68%. He subsequently raised his trophy count with the club to 13 following a UEFA Super Cup victory.
These contract extensions not only solidify the manager’s position, but also preserve the young core responsible for the club’s European breakthroughs as PSG launch their campaign for a third consecutive Champions League title.
