Trabzonspor have reached a verbal agreement with Richarlison as part of the Turkish club’s efforts to add a new striker to support Mohamed Salah, offering him an attacking partner with extensive Premier League experience.
Trabzonspor aim to bring in a forward who can play alongside Paul Onuachu or compete with him, while granting Salah greater freedom playing behind the striker after excelling in the second-striker role. Tottenham Hotspur’s willingness to lower their financial demands remains the decisive step to completing the deal.
Journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu revealed that the Brazilian striker has agreed to Trabzonspor’s offer and has begun pressing Tottenham officials to grant his exit. However, the deal is not yet finalized due to the lack of an agreement between the two clubs.
Reports indicate Trabzonspor submitted an offer valued between €10 million and €15 million. Tottenham rejected the bid, holding out for a fee closer to the £35 million previously offered by Everton. The Turkish club has until September 4 to seal the transaction.
Richarlison’s future has remained uncertain since the start of the summer after informing Tottenham’s hierarchy multiple times of his desire to leave, according to manager Roberto De Zerbi, before Everton opened talks to bring him back to Goodison Park.
Everton offered around £35 million, but negotiations stalled over personal terms and the handling of talks. This prompted Richarlison to publish a statement emphasizing that he would not let others decide his future, citing past pressure, threats, and retaliation.
The Brazilian has featured in over 270 Premier League matches across spells with Watford, Everton, and Tottenham. Last March, he reached 100 goal contributions in the competition—comprising 73 goals and 27 assists—and concluded last season with 12 goals and 5 assists in 43 matches across all competitions.
