Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have reached an agreement in principle regarding the transfer of Iliman Ndiaye to the North London club, in exchange for Richarlison returning to the Toffees four years after his departure.
David Ornstein revealed that both operations will be recorded as separate transactions, remaining contingent on agreeing personal terms and passing medical examinations.
Ndiaye has agreed to Tottenham’s project, while Richarlison has entered discussions with Everton to weigh a return to his former club against three other offers he holds.
Ndiaye made 67 Premier League appearances for Everton since arriving from Marseille in 2024, scoring 15 goals and providing 4 assists.
The Senegal international was previously targeted by Manchester City to replace the departing Savinho before Tottenham moved in, with Everton valuing their player at around £80 million.
Richarlison joined Tottenham in 2022, scoring 32 goals in 134 matches over his first four seasons and winning the UEFA Europa League with the squad in 2025.
The Brazilian forward previously represented Everton between 2018 and 2022, scoring 53 goals in 152 matches prior to his move to Tottenham for £50 million plus add-ons.
Roberto De Zerbi disclosed following the defeat against Newcastle that Richarlison “has said many times that he wants to leave,” emphasizing the necessity of securing an appropriate financial solution before sanctioning his exit.
The move comes despite heavy spending by Tottenham on Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Savinho, and Omar Marmoush, as Spurs started their Premier League campaign with back-to-back losses against Brentford (3–0) and Newcastle (2–0), leaving them winless, scoreless, and bottom of the table.
