Tottenham have terminated their agreement with Manchester City to sign Omar Marmoush, and the Egyptian striker will start a new experience in the Premier League after a season and a half at the Etihad Stadium.
The 27-year-old will join Tottenham on loan for a season, before the mandatory purchase clause is activated, and he will undergo medical tests and then sign his transfer contracts soon.
The two clubs agreed to complete the final sale for about 58 million euros, with Manchester City guaranteeing a large refund of a large part of the amount it paid to sign the Egyptian international from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The value of the deal could rise to €70 million with additions of €12 million, of which €6 million is practically guaranteed, while Marmoush will sign a contract until 2030 with the option to extend for another year.
Eintracht Frankfurt will not receive any percentage of Marmoush’s transfer, after it was confirmed that there was no resale clause in his previous transfer agreement to Manchester City, which paid for him to include about 75 million euros apart from additions in January 2025.
Marmoush made 62 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions, scoring 16 goals, but he conceded eight goals in 36 appearances last season, and started only 8 league appearances, in competition with Erling Haaland.
His move to England came after a remarkable explosion with Frankfurt, where he scored 37 goals and provided 20 assists in 67 games, including 15 goals and 9 assists in just 17 Bundesliga appearances during the first half of the 2024-2025 season.
