Nathaniel Brown opened the scoring for the Bavarian giants in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a setup from Michael Olise to give Vincent Kompany’s side the lead inside the Yellow Wall stronghold.

Just before halftime, Olise turned from provider to scorer, doubling Bayern’s advantage in the first minute of stoppage time (45+1′) to leave Black and Yellows with a daunting mountain to climb in the second half.

Substitute Fábio Silva managed to pull one back for Borussia in the 75th minute following a pass from Daniel Svensson, but Bayern held firm to preserve their lead—while the hosts finished the match with ten men after Ramy Bensebaini was sent off late on.

With this triumph, Bayern extended their record by lifting their 12th DFL-Supercup, retaining the trophy for a second consecutive season following their identical 2-1 victory over VfB Stuttgart in the 2025 edition.

The Supercup marks Kompany’s fifth trophy since taking charge of Bayern, adding to his two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal, and back-to-back Supercups in 2025 and 2026.

Over the past three years, the two rivals have met 7 times in official competitions, with Bayern winning 4 times, Dortmund winning once, alongside 2 draws. Dortmund’s last victory came in March 2024 with a 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern will begin their Bundesliga title defense against VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena next Friday, while Dortmund kicks off their league campaign by hosting Hamburger SV at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.
