Vlahovic’s contract with the Turkish club will run for 3 years, with an annual income of up to €8 million including bonuses, in addition to an undisclosed signing bonus.

The agreement comes after lengthy negotiations led by Beşiktaş to convince the 26-year-old to embark on a Turkish adventure. The club benefited from the presence of head coach Vincenzo Italiano, who previously worked with Vlahovic during his stellar stint at Fiorentina.

A move to Barcelona was the preferred option for the Serbian striker, as his agent had offered him to the Catalan club on multiple occasions. However, Barça’s management did not consider him a priority due to his financial demands and his profile not fitting their current project. Instead, they favor signing another striker, with Julián Álvarez topping their list.

Vlahovic played 23 matches for Juventus across all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals—7 in Serie A and 3 in the UEFA Champions League—before departing upon the expiration of his contract.

The Serbian striker concluded his spell in Turin having scored 68 goals in 168 appearances. His overall tally in Serie A, spanning his time with both Fiorentina and Juventus, stands at 94 goals in 221 matches.

With this move, Beşiktaş continues its highly aggressive summer transfer window, having already signed Leandro Trossard from Arsenal, goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, Salih Özcan, Kassoum Ouattara, Doğan Alemdar, and İlhan Fakılı, before adding Vlahovic as the marquee signing to bolster their attacking line.
