The long-running transfer saga surrounding Yan Diomande has officially concluded. Real Madrid reached a complete financial agreement with RB Leipzig for the Ivorian winger after weeks of intense negotiations.
The deal experienced multiple twists, starting with Leipzig rejecting Real Madrid’s opening bids, followed by competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, and protracted debates over payment structures and add-ons. Yan Diomande Transfer Fee to Real Madrid
Real Madrid will pay a fixed fee of €125 million to RB Leipzig, plus performance-related add-ons ranging between €10 million and €15 million tied to individual and collective targets.
This brings the total potential value of the transfer to at least €135 million, which could rise to €140 million if all agreed variables are activated.

Diomande becomes the second most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s history based on the fixed €125 million fee, trailing only Jude Bellingham, whose transfer from Borussia Dortmund reached approximately €127 million including bonuses.
The Ivorian winger surpasses Eden Hazard (€120 million), Gareth Bale (€101 million), and Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined from Manchester United for €94 million in 2009.
However, once bonus performance clauses are triggered, Diomande’s deal will become the most expensive transfer in Real Madrid history at €135 million to €140 million, surpassing Bellingham’s record total.

Diomande smashed RB Leipzig’s record for the most expensive player sale in club history, previously held by Joško Gvardiol following his €90 million move to Manchester City in summer 2023.
