Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has no intention of moving to Barcelona, according to a recent report by the Daily Mail. The England captain’s camp firmly communicated this stance to the Catalan club officials during a recent phone call.
Barcelona is actively searching for a new striker following the conclusion of Robert Lewandowski’s tenure in Catalonia. While Kane remains a dream target for Joan Laporta’s board, completing such a transfer currently looks virtually impossible.
The report highlights that Barcelona knocked on Kane’s door once again to explore the feasibility of a deal. However, the response was crystal clear: the player does not intend to leave the Allianz Arena, and his current priority is extending his contract with Bayern Munich, which expires in the summer of 2027.
Consequently, Spanish outlet Sport reported that Barça’s management immediately closed the chapter on Kane. They have shifted their focus to other alternatives, most notably Atletico Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, who has openly expressed his desire to move to the Camp Nou.
Bayern Munich had already made their stance clear through honorary president Uli Hoeness, who insisted Kane is not for sale. Hoeness even mocked Barcelona at the time, suggesting the Catalan club lacks the financial resources to pull off a signing of this magnitude.
Kane is enjoying the most statistically prolific season of his career, having scored 61 goals in 51 matches for Bayern Munich to lead the Bavarian giants to a domestic double. Additionally, he scored 3 goals for England during the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
