Spanish outlet Marca reports that FC Barcelona has turned down a record-breaking mega-offer to sell Brazilian winger Raphinha to the Saudi Pro League, reaffirming that the player remains a vital part of the project at the Camp Nou.
Rumors had circulated recently suggesting that Raphinha would be forced to leave Barcelona for a lucrative salary in Saudi Arabia due to an alleged severe family financial crisis.
However, the latest reports confirm that Saudi club Neom SC submitted a massive package worth €120 million (€100 million fixed plus €20 million in add-ons) to sign Raphinha. Barcelona rejected the proposal immediately.
Barcelona Rejects All Offers for Raphinha
Marca emphasized that Barcelona’s board is completely unwilling to entertain any bids for Raphinha, whether from the Saudi “Big Four,” Neom SC, or any elite European club.
For Barcelona, Raphinha is deemed “untouchable” and stands as a core pillar in Hansi Flick’s squad. Furthermore, the club’s recent pursuit of Anthony Gordon is entirely unrelated to the future of the 30-year-old Brazilian.
Financial Reality and Player’s Stance
While it is no secret that Barcelona needs to offload some stars this summer transfer window to balance their financial books, Raphinha is absolutely not on the market. Additionally, sources close to the player dismissed the rumors regarding his financial situation, confirming he is stable and has no intention of leaving the Blaugrana.
