Bayern Munich have reached a full agreement with PSV Eindhoven to sign Moroccan star Ismael Saibari for a fee of €55 million, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Prior to the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Bayern Munich had designated Saibari as their number-one attacking target. This move comes after the Bavarians missed out on their initial summer priority, Anthony Gordon, who recently joined FC Barcelona.
Negotiations with the Dutch outfit were far from straightforward. Bayern’s opening bid for the Moroccan international was valued at €45 million, while PSV held out for a figure north of €50 million.
However, thanks to the excellent relationship between the two clubs, talks progressed smoothly. Notably, PSV’s board refused to hike up their asking price even after Saibari’s dazzling, eye-catching performance against Brazil in the ongoing World Cup across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Contract Details: In the end, both parties shook hands on a final €55 million package. The 25-year-old playmaker is set to sign a long-term five-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
Saibari will undergo his medical examinations in the United States within the coming hours, where he is also expected to sign his official contracts immediately, rather than waiting for the conclusion of his World Cup campaign.

Saibari’s PSV Stats: The midfielder, who scored Morocco’s goal against Brazil, enjoyed a stellar season with Eindhoven, netting 19 goals and providing 9 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
