The Bavarian giants had been searching for weeks for a versatile player capable of operating both as a winger and an attacking midfielder. They initially targeted Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, but the English star ultimately chose to join Barcelona.

Following Gordon’s decision, Bayern swiftly shifted their focus to Saibari, who established himself as one of the Eredivisie’s standout performers last season. Personal terms were quickly agreed upon with the Moroccan international.

According to Dutch media reports on Wednesday, Bayern have now finalized an agreement with Feyenoord after smooth negotiations over the past few hours. It is now only a matter of time before the player officially joins Vincent Kompany’s squad.

While the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed, reports suggest it will range between €40 million and €60 million. The 25-year-old playmaker is set to sign a long-term contract keeping him at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2031.

Due to tight schedules, Saibari will undergo his medical examinations in the United States, where he is currently based with the Morocco national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The announcement caps off a brilliant week for Saibari, who scored two spectacular goals in Morocco’s friendly victory against Madagascar as part of their World Cup preparations. The brace brought his impressive tally for the season to 22 goals and 9 assists for both club and country.
