Vincent Kompany has reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction to the Bayern Munich board regarding their decision not to trigger the permanent purchase clause for Nicolas Jackson in the upcoming transfer window.
The Senegalese forward joined the Bavarians on loan during the final hours of last summer’s window. The deal included an option to buy for €65 million in the summer of 2026.
According to Bild, Kompany is a huge admirer of Jackson’s performances this season, viewing him as the perfect backup and successor to Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena.
Jackson’s Stats at Bayern
-
Appearances: 33 (mostly as a substitute).
-
Goals: 10.
-
Assists: 4.
Despite being the “12th man” and earning the coaching staff’s full trust, the Bayern hierarchy is reluctant to spend €65 million on a bench player. Meanwhile, Chelsea is refusing to negotiate the asking price as they look to balance their books for Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance.
As it stands, Bayern has no plans for a loan extension. This has put Juventus on high alert, as the Italian giants are reportedly interested in bringing the former Villarreal striker to Serie A on a loan deal.
