Revealing the truth about Dani Alves’ suicide in prison

Many rumors have spread in the past hours about Dani Alves committing suicide in his current prison in Barcelona.

The Brazilian football legend was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison on charges of sexual assault, and was fined $160,000.

A Brazilian account of a person named Pablo Albuquerque posted that Alves committed suicide and ended his life on Saturday evening.

But this news is completely false, as Alves’ brother Nay confirmed that his brother is in good condition and did not commit suicide. He also launched a fiery attack on those spreading these rumours.

Alves’s lawyer announced that he would take the necessary legal measures against everyone who promoted that his client had committed suicide.

It is noteworthy that the Spanish media previously indicated that Alves suffers from depression and was subjected to a rehabilitation program in recent weeks for fear of committing suicide, which made this rumor seem logical for the first time.
