Real Betis star Abde Ezzalzouli has become the target of several major European clubs thanks to his outstanding performances with the Andalusian club this season, and the fact that he is one of the top scorers in La Liga recently.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Napoli, Aston Villa, and Newcastle are all eyeing Ezzalzouli and are prepared to activate the €60 million release clause in his contract.
Undoubtedly, the biggest beneficiaries will not only be Betis, but also Barcelona, who still retain 20% of the player’s transfer rights after waiving the other 30% as compensation for the termination of Vítor Roque’s loan in February 2025.
If any of the interested clubs activate the release clause, Barcelona will receive €12 million, a sum that could contribute significantly to the busy summer transfer window for Deco’s management.
Barcelona had already received €7.5 million from selling half of his contract to Real Betis, after acquiring him for just €2 million from Hércules in the summer of 2021.
This season, the Moroccan international has increased his goal contributions by 71.4%, placing him eighth in the list of La Liga’s most influential players (goals + assists), behind giants like Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, and Vinícius Júnior.
It is noted that some Spanish press reports have circulated that Barcelona may bring back Ezzalzouli to be the main left winger next season if the Catalan club decides not to activate the purchase clause in Marcus Rashford’s contract and fails to find another player to replace the Englishman during the next transfer window.
