The website Foot Mercato reported that Real Madrid wants to renew Aurélien Tchouaméni’s contract. The French player is considered a valuable asset that cannot be dispensed with in the upcoming summer transfer window.
English newspapers had previously indicated that Manchester United wants to sign Tchouaméni to replace Casemiro, who will leave Old Trafford at the end of his contract next June.
Although the Red Devils might make Real Madrid a substantial offer to buy Tchouaméni, Florentino Pérez’s administration has no intention of letting the player go, regardless of the surrounding temptations.
The 24-year-old’s contract with the Royal Club runs until the summer of 2028, and negotiations will begin in the coming weeks with his agent to extend the contract, including a significant increase in the midfielder’s salary.
Meanwhile, it seems that Eduardo Camavinga is the most likely casualty of Real Madrid’s summer transfer window. With the club holding onto Tchouaméni, it seems logical that the other Frenchman will be the one to leave Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad.
While Chuaminhi succeeded in establishing himself in the starting lineup and delivering a good performance throughout this season, Camavinga clearly suffered a significant decline in performance that confined him to the bench, specifically since Arbeloa’s arrival to coach Los Blancos.
