Alexander Isak scored his first Premier League goal at Anfield since joining Liverpool, leading the Reds to a crucial 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in Matchday 34.
The Swedish striker had endured a frustrating spell since his record-breaking £125 million move from Newcastle. However, he put Liverpool on track for their third consecutive league win when his 12-yard shot bounced off the ground, looping over Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson and into the net.

The match also marked the Premier League debut for Liverpool’s third-choice goalkeeper, Freddie Woodman, due to injuries to both Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili. Woodman made a fine save from Jean-Philippe Mateta’s header just moments before Andy Robertson doubled Liverpool’s lead.
Crystal Palace ignited a late surge when Daniel Muñoz scored from outside the box while goalkeeper Woodman lay injured, before substitute Jürgen Strand Larsen hit the post in the 84th minute.
However, the Reds sealed the victory with a third goal, a right-footed strike from inside the penalty area by Florian Wirtz in stoppage time.
Despite the win, it wasn’t all good news for Liverpool, as Mohamed Salah was forced off injured in the second half. Fans of the English club are hoping this won’t be the last time they see the “Egyptian King,” who will leave Anfield at the end of the season.
With this win, Liverpool are eight points clear of sixth-placed Brighton in the race for Champions League qualification, with four matches remaining. The top five teams will qualify for next season’s prestigious European competition.
