The “Special One” is considered the Blues’ most successful manager in history, having won the Premier League title three times across two spells, along with numerous other records.

Chelsea’s management is searching for a new manager to lead the team next season, and some newspapers have indicated that the option of signing Mourinho, currently managing Benfica, has recently emerged.

However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, these rumors are unfounded, and Chelsea’s management has no intention of pursuing Mourinho.

The officials of the prestigious English club prefer to appoint a young manager, provided he possesses the necessary Premier League experience. In this regard, Andoni Iraola and Oliver Glasner are the leading candidates to succeed Rosenior.

A return to Real Madrid for a second stint seems more likely than ever, given Florentino Pérez’s conviction that the Portuguese manager is the only one capable of restoring discipline to the dressing room.

It’s worth noting that Mourinho has the option to stay with Benfica for another year, and he is also a likely candidate to become Portugal’s next national team coach after the 2026 World Cup.
