Barcelona is pushing hard to sign defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer, and the Catalan club hopes to complete the deal at the lowest possible cost, given their simultaneous desire to bring in Julián Álvarez as the team’s new main striker.
Barça believes that acquiring both players is possible if Inter agrees to lower Bastoni’s transfer fee, and the way to achieve this would be by including several players in the deal.
Barcelona is considering including Héctor Fort, currently on loan at Elche, who is already attracting interest from Inter. He could partially compensate for Bastoni’s departure, although there is no chance of him returning to Barça next season.
The newspaper “Sport” indicated that the Italian champions are also interested in two other players: Rooney Bardghji and Aron Jakubišvili.
Bardghji faces an uncertain future at the Camp Nou, largely due to his dissatisfaction with being a secondary player in the team. Barcelona are reportedly open to letting him leave, and while Juventus are currently considered the favorites to sign the Swedish winger, Inter Milan could swoop in if they decide to include him in a deal for Bastoni.
As for Jakubišvili, who spent the season on loan at FC Andorra, Inter Milan see him as a potential successor to goalkeeper Yann Sommer, who, at 37, may be replaced by a younger alternative.
