Madrid’s elimination marked a bitter end to a tie that seemed within their grasp until the tide turned against them in crucial moments. Mbappe had managed to find the net in Munich, scoring Madrid’s third goal that night, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to secure passage to the next round.

On his Instagram account, the French striker posted a message reflecting his impressions of the quarter-final defeat, acknowledging both the effort exerted and the final result. Mbappe wrote: “We tried until the end, but it wasn’t enough. It’s disappointing to be eliminated from such an important competition, but we have to look ahead.”

Despite this setback, Mbappe’s message quickly shifted towards taking responsibility and the need for internal reflection, stating: “We need to seriously examine ourselves to avoid this kind of disappointment again.”

He added: “We will never give up. In Madrid, failure has never been an option, and it never will be.”

Mbappé concluded his message with a direct promise to the fans, emphasizing this mentality by saying: “I promise you one thing: we will be back on the winning track again, and very soon.”
