Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of next season, and the 38-year-old has yet to make a final decision about his future, especially after reports that the Catalan club offered him a one-year extension with a reduced role under Hansi Flick.

Juventus is considered the club most interested in signing Lewandowski. The Bianconeri even sent scouts to watch Poland’s World Cup playoff semi-final against Albania last March to observe the player closely and assess whether age has negatively impacted his performance.

However, it seems that Juventus will now face stiff competition in their pursuit of Lewandowski, as the Catalan newspaper reports that a meeting took place between AC Milan officials and the player’s agents last Tuesday, though the outcome of that meeting is still unknown.

Meanwhile, Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, was spotted in Barcelona in recent days, holding several meetings with sporting director Deco, a further indication that the player’s continued stay at Camp Nou is also on the table.

Lewandowski has also reportedly received a lucrative offer from Chicago Fire, and it has been said that the Polish striker’s wife has moved to the United States to experience life there before making a final move.

It’s worth noting that Lewandowski is currently unhappy at Barcelona, particularly after being substituted at halftime in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atlético Madrid, replacing Pau Coparsi, when the Catalan side lost 2-1.
