Bayern Munich star Lennart Carl expressed his strong belief that the Bavarian club will overcome Real Madrid and reach the 2026 Champions League semi-finals.
Carl scored the winning goal for Bayern in their last test before facing Real Madrid, a 3-2 victory over Freiburg in the 28th round of the Bundesliga.
After the match, Carl was asked about the upcoming European clásico, and he responded with unwavering confidence, saying, “Bayern Munich is currently unbeatable; we all feel that.”
Carl’s comments follow those of captain Joshua Kimmich, who stated that it is time for Bayern Munich to finally triumph over Real Madrid in Europe, after the German giants failed to defeat the Spanish club in the Champions League five times.
Eighteen-year-old Carl is considered one of the most promising talents in German football in recent times. Despite his young age, he has already featured in 36 matches across all competitions this season, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.
Bayern Munich still has a chance to achieve a historic treble this season. They lead the Bundesliga by nine points over Borussia Dortmund with six matches remaining, and have also reached the semi-finals of the German Cup, where they face a highly anticipated match against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena.
On the other hand, Real Madrid does not appear to be in top form. They are practically out of contention for the La Liga title after their recent loss to Mallorca, which widened the gap with league leaders Barcelona to seven points with eight matches left.
